PlayStation Plus' latest free game is a 9/10 cozy The Sims and Animal Crossing hybrid

The Nintendo and PC platforms arguably have the best offerings for cozy gamers, but PlayStation is also home to a few notable mentions.

In fact, one is about to make its way to PlayStation Plus or should be there already depending on where you’re located.

PlayStation Plus is continuing with its phased rollout in the US, UK, and Japan, with cozy sim Two Point Museum set to land on the extra tier tomorrow, on Tuesday August 25.

For those situated elsewhere, it should already be readily available in the extra library.

If you’re yet to try Two Point Museum, think of it as a hybrid of The Sims and Animal Crossing.

It’s got the customisation of the former, while also fulfilling that same feeling of collecting fish, bugs, fossils, and more for Animal Crossing: New Horizon’s Blathers.

It shouldn’t come as any surprise that Two Point Museum sees the player tasked with running a museum.

You’ll need to both design and run the daily operations of your museum with five main museum locations to engage with.

Memento Mile is where you’ll find prehistoric relics, while Passwater Cove is home to marine life.

There’s Wailon Lodge for supernatural finds, Bungle Wasteland for scientific discoveries, and Pebberley Heights for space-related items.

You can either build freely in sandbox mode or work through the game’s campaign where you’ll put together exhibits, embark on expeditions, unearth artifacts, cater to guests, and more.

“As fledgling curators, you have the task of designing and refining your very own museums to create the ultimate guest experience,” begins the synopsis.

“Coordinate experts on far-flung expeditions to discover new exhibits, generating buzz to entice droves of knowledge-hungry guests who will expect top info-tainment if they’re to leave impressed.

“This is all while you keep your exhibits safe, rooms clean, staff happy… and children off the dinosaur bones.”

PlayStation Plus appears to only be adding the base version of Two Point Museum, but there are a number of expansions you can pick up from the PlayStation Store if you want to expand the experience.

The hefty Zooseum expansion adds, yes, a new zoo location, while Fantasy Finds and Arty-Facts also add new artifacts, exhibits, and expeditions.
