Popular first-person shooter Enlisted is finally landing on Steam - and best of all, it's free to play.

Sometimes, you just need to kick back, relax, and get stuck into an old-school style FPS and luckily that is now possible thanks to one such game arriving on Steam. Not only that but it is also available for free!

There are a fair share of FPS games out there right now that take players to the trenches of World War 2. Between Battlefield V and War Thunder, the genre is as popular as ever and one game hoping to join the ranks is Enlisted, a military shooter that is now available to download for free on Steam.

PlayStation Plus users can sample Foamstars for free very soon. The game is launching on the platform as a day one release on 6 February.

Developed by Darkflow Software, Enlisted is an MMO squad based shooter set during WW2 that “revolves around major battles fought across all fronts of the war”. First released back in March 2021, Enlisted started off its life as an Xbox Series X/S exclusive but has now made its way to Steam.

Enlisted has everything you would expect from a game in this genre - huge maps, chaotic gameplay, aerial battles and more and with 16 different soldier classes to choose from, you can play a style that fits you. Additionally, you can customise your weapons and even fortify temporary bases to help you during battle.

Perhaps bringing something new to the FPS table is the ability to command a squad of AI-controlled soldiers that can be switched out upon their death, giving players a taste of what leading a squad was really like.

Much like Battlefield V, Enlisted takes its players to all corners of the world including fights across the Pacific Ocean, Normandy, Berlin, Moscow, Tunisia and more. The game features all four countries participating in the war and allows players to build their own army with different specialities.

If you are eager to get stuck into a new FPS then definitely check out Enlisted which is available on Steam now.
