Red Dead Redemption 2 players can grab some free bonuses with a new Red Dead Online update by Rockstar Games.

The world of Red Dead Redemption 2 is considered to be one of the greatest open worlds of all time by fans. It’s so cherished by the community that many are devastated that Rockstar Games never expanded it with single-player DLC, and are still campaigning for some till this day, especially a follow-up to Undead Nightmare.

Take a look at some funny Red Dead Redemption 2 wins and fails below!

Regardless, fans have still enjoyed exploring the game’s world, with one of its most prominent features being its wildlife, which can bag you some cool rewards or a swift death depending on which creatures you encounter.

That’s the topic of today’s discussion, as Rockstar has announced a new in-game event for Red Dead Online players, called The Naturalist Bonuses. This event will see players take full advantage of the US’ teeming wildlife, granting double money and 2XP for completing Naturalist Sample Sales, Legendary Animal Protection Free Roam Events, and more until the end of the month.

These missions see the player become a protector of the various critters found in the game, rather than their destroyer, including tagging animals in the wild, killing poachers Kraven The Hunter-style, and much more, all of which nets its own rewards for the player.

You’ll also come face-to-face with legendary animals, like the Nightwalker Panther, Marble Fox and Moonstone Wolf, some of which can be cute, whilst others can be incredibly dangerous. They do give some great samples though, which can be sold at a high price to the right person…

That person would be conservationist Harriet Davenport, who you can find at camp and will be granting her own special rewards to players for the event. These include an Offer for 40% off a Novice or Promising Naturalist Role item, 40% off an Established or Distinguished Naturalist Role item and a Lake Isabella Treasure Map.

Players only have until the end of the month, 31st July, to take full advantage of these bonus rewards, as well as the additional cash and XP that can be earned from the missions. Whether you’re new to Red Dead Online, but are just trying to level up as much as possible, it’s worth looking into.
