With the news that Red Dead Online is back and bigger than ever thanks to an exciting new update, players can dive into some cowboy action and bag some freebies at the same time.
Arriving alongside Red Dead Redemption 2, Red Dead Online has allowed players to team up with friends and explore the Frontier together, taking on bounties, earning gold and taking part in various events that are showcased throughout the year.
With a brand-new trailer, which just so happens to be the first one since 2022, as well as the biggest update in years, Red Dead Online is officially back from the dead as those still playing can get stuck into a series of missions and earn some goodies at the same time.
That is what fans can expect with the Strange Tales of the West event as players can earn 3x Gold, RDO$, and XP by partaking in new Telegram Missions.

“Strange Tales of the West will require steely resolve and courage in the face of the odd, twisted, and downright supernatural,” the official Rockstar blog post reads.
“Embark upon these four new Telegram Missions by picking up Mr. Levin’s letter at any Post Office or from your Camp’s Lockbox, then opening it via your Satchel or launching Telegram Missions from your Player Menu.”
Not only that but by taking part in various incentives over the next month, players can bag themselves some free cosmetics.
For example, between 1-7 July, players can complete a round of Wildlife Photography to receive the blue Eberhart Coat for their collection.
Also throughout July, the blue Torranca Coat, blue Porter Jacket, red Concho Pants, and the red Manteca Hat can also be earned and you can check out the eligible dates on the official Rockstar blog.
All in all, you can add some snazzy new cosmetics to your Red Dead Online wardrobe and better yet? They are completely free to earn so get on it, cowboy.
