Starfield players can get hold of a handy free download right now, mere days before the game is due to come out in Early Access.
It feels weird to accept that Starfield is finally just days away, and arrives for Early Access players on 1 September. We'll have a full review for you by then, of course, but for right now I think all fans can do is stare at the wall and wish the hours away.
Take a look at Starfield in action below!
One thing you could do is start planning your character. You can head over to the fan-made Starfield character and builder planner right now to calculate your best possible build and get a jump on the game. Alternatively, you can wander over to the app store and grab another free, if slightly less glamorous, download.

Yep, those of you who are getting sick of waiting can grab a free download right now, though I'm not sure how occupied it will actually keep you.
Anyone who pre-ordered the fancy Constellation Edition of Starfield (that's the version with the sexy limited-edition watch) can now download the companion app for the watch right now. Not the most exciting thing, I admit, but it's something.
The app is available now on the Google Play store and Apple Store, and essentially just lets you dick around changing settings, and I guess gives us a cool indication of what to expect from the watch itself. Not you'll want to stare at any kind of watch when you're playing the game.
Fans are already planning sink hundreds of hours into Starfield, but everything we hear about the game just gets us more pumped.

In a recent question and answer session with Reddit, Bethesda’s Head of Publishing Pete Hines confirmed that modders will be able to build entire planets and storylines. Given how many planets are already confirmed to appear in Starfield, throwing in a bunch of fan-made creations is going to keep us hooked for an amazingly long time. I mean, just think about how long Skyrim has thrived thanks to modders.
