Here we are again, folks. Red Dead Redemption 2 is truly the game that keeps on giving, as fans have spotted yet another awe-inspiring, subtle detail in the game’s open world which you might have missed.

Earlier this month, many players discovered for the first time that the animals strung up at hunting camps can be interacted with and looted for perfect carcasses and pelts (in exchange for losing some honour, mind you). Now, fans are back at it again with another discovery to do with the game’s wildlife.

Before we get into it, take a look at some of the funniest Red Dead Redemption 2 wins and fails below.

“Interesting detail: you can see predators flying away [with] their prey,” Reddit user Zeezuu02 posted, along with a screenshot of a bird flying away with a poor, unsuspecting snake.

Others have been sharing breathtaking wildlife moments that they’ve spotted, too: “Isn’t it amazing?! I actually saw an eagle swoop into the water and fly off with a fish!” Astute-Medusa77 commented. “Elysian Pool is a good place to see this. Saw a bald eagle (I think it was) take off with a fish, while a golden eagle was eating something on top of one of the big rocks. So many neat animal encounters in the game!” wrote FiggyPippin. “Oh my god! The details in this game [are] mind-blowing,” added the original poster.

Meanwhile, some pointed out that there’s a really cool function to birds carrying away their prey, beyond it looking cool. User grichardson526 wrote: “I saw in another thread that shooting hawks carrying snakes is a good way to get three-star snake skins.”

How about that? You learn something new every day. I can’t help but wonder how long people are going to keep finding new details in Red Dead Redemption 2 for - it’s been almost half a decade already. It just goes to show how much time and effort Rockstar Games put into it.
