Cyberpunk 2077 players have murdered almost every NPC in Night City, just to see what will happen.
One of the most fun features of the Grand Theft Auto series from Rockstar Games is its wanted system, which, depending on your crime and the frequency of said crime, will depend on how brutally the law will be enforced upon you.
The Grand Theft Auto wanted system is graded from one star to five stars. For example, if you ran over a single NPC with your car or murdered them with a gun, that low-level crime (in the world of GTA, might I add) will likely result in a single wanted star.

However, if you get to the maximum five stars by continuing your crime spree, the military will be on your case with attack helicopters, tanks and more. This is when the GTA wanted system achieves its peak level of fun.
The last time we saw Rockstar Games’ wanted system was in GTA V, and with the next game in the series on the horizon, fans are eager to see how this feature has evolved in GTA VI.
Versions of GTA’s wanted system have been implemented in other games, such as CD Projekt RED’s sci-fi action RPG, Cyberpunk 2077.
The YouTube channel ‘Trip Tease’ put Cyberpunk 2077’s wanted system to the test, and the results are chaotic. According to the description of the video featured in this article, gamers in the video killed 2,077 NPCs.
Sure, the law enforcement in Cyberpunk 2077 may not be as relentless as those in Grand Theft Auto, but they're no less brutal, especially when they seemingly spawn out of nowhere.

Cyberpunk 2077 is out now on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch 2. It will be interesting to see if the upcoming The Witcher 4 has a version of its own wanted system.
