PlayStation Plus 'garbage' new free games leave fans furious

PlayStation Plus fans are still outraged at the recent price hike, and the latest game selection isn't making them feel any better.

PlayStation Plus fans are still outraged at the recent price hike, and the latest game selection isn't making them feel any better.

PlayStation fans are really going through it at the moment. While they’ve got some incredible games on the horizon, like Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth, the PlayStation Plus problem is still making people angry.

While the three free monthly games were being announced, which already caused disappointment among fans, a price-hike for all PlayStation Plus tiers was also shared. Fans were livid, with many claiming they’d be cancelling their subscriptions in protest. There was already unrest amongst subscribers over several disappointing monthly updates to the service, with the price hike being the last straw for many users.

Now, fans aren’t happy with the latest additions to PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium, which includes:

The new titles were announced via the PlayStation Blog, with fans calling out the selection in the comments. “Imagine paying $160 for these crap ass games. Wow high-quality games,” said one user. “Ain’t no way this is what y’all hiked the prices up for," added another. “Garbage," said one straight-to-the-point comment.

It doesn’t seem like things are getting much better for PlayStation Plus, as no matter what games are added to the service, the price-hike will undoubtedly be used to complain about the selection.
