PlayStation Plus free games for July dividing subscribers

Manifesting a good line-up

It’s just one day to go until PlayStation Plus’ next free game offering is unveiled.

Tomorrow, on Wednesday 25 June, the latest titles to arrive on the essential tier will be announced, replacing Destiny 2: The Final Shape, NBA 2K25, Alone in the Dark, and Bomb Rush Cyberpunk.

I’d like to think the only way is up; it’s been a good couple of months since PlayStation Plus dropped an absolute banger.

While the next line-up will be unveiled tomorrow, the new titles won’t actually be available to download until Tuesday 1 July.

That means you have seven days left to claim the current titles which I heartily recommend you do.

You can claim essential tier titles without having to download them, and they remain yours to keep forever as long as you stay subscribed to PlayStation Plus.

You may not fancy Bomb Rush Cyberpunk now, but you might feel different in, say, six months.

Ahead of tomorrow, the r/PlayStationPlus subreddit is awash with predictions as to what might be coming next.

You might brush off such speculation as, well, just that - speculation.

These prediction tournaments often end up being right on the money though, so they’re actually well worth browsing albeit with a pinch of salt.

Hi-Fi Rush is a popular guess, as are Resident Evil Village, Atomic Heart, and EA Sports FC 25, appearing in many people’s predictions.

“Atomic Heart, Call of Duty Vanguard, Resident Evil Village,” predicted Objective_Love_6843.

“Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Atomic Heart, Terminator Resistance,” added domvg.

“Atomic Heart, Pacific Drive, Persona 3 Reload,” wrote brolt0001.

User MjLovely8811 had an interesting suggestion: “The way it’s been going, probably MindsEye.”

Honestly, I could see that happening.

Of course, some took the opportunity to take a jab at PlayStation Plus which hasn’t exactly done a great job of satisfying subscribers in recent months.

“Another Battlefield, failed multiplayer game, obscure indie no one cares about,” wrote Swag5uke.

“The Lord of the Rings Gollum, MindsEye, Car for Sale Simulator,” echoed lovelyhead1 with the latter indeed being a real game.

Well, we shall find out tomorrow; the latest line-up will be unveiled at 8.30am PDT / 11.30am EDT / 4.30pm BST, and we will bring that news straight to you.
