PlayStation Plus drops 9 more free games for June

Including a day one release

How quickly this day always rolls around.

It’s time for the latest PlayStation Plus additions to be unveiled, this time concerning the extra and premium tiers.

Very soon, those tiers will collectively be gaining an additional 9 free titles, all of which will become available on 17 June.

And perhaps best of all, this month’s line-up includes a day one launch.

That day one launch is FBC: Firebreak (PS5), a new co-op first-person shooter set within the world of the game Control.

That’s landing on the extra tier and it’ll be joined by Battlefield 2042 (PS4/5), Five Nights at Freddy’s: Help Wanted 2 (PS5), theHunter: Call of the Wild (pS4), We Love Katamari Reroll + Royal Reverie (PS4/5), Eiyuden Chronicles: Hundred Heroes (PS4/5), Train Sim World 5 (PS4/5), and Endless Dungeon (PS4/5).

The premium tier will be gaining Deus Ex: The Conspiracy (PS4/5).

In our preview of FBC: Firebeak, GAMINGbible’s Richard Lee Breslin had this to say: “It’s obvious to me that Remedy has a lot of passion for FBC: Firebreak and the developers have a lot of confidence in the product. In short, while the game is planned for the long haul, I was told it will be supported for as long as the player base remains active which sounds like a ‘we shall see’ type scenario.”

Here’s to hoping that the player base is as Remedy is hoping for.

That title aside, it’s not the most exciting batch of additions we’ve seen. In fact, there’s nothing here at all to my personal tastes but I’m sure many players will have fun with the likes of Battlefield 2042 and Endless Dungeon.

If you ask me, it’s about time another major first-party title landed on the service to spice things up. I won’t hold my breath though that July will deliver such a treat.
