PlayStation users can claim a new freebie with an important message attached, plus it’s even available via VR.
While it’s not the most exciting freebie in the world, it is an interesting one, and it’s called Climate Station, usable with your PlayStation console and the PSVR2.
PlayStation announced the title online saying it has transformed “decades of complex climate science into an immersive, interactive story,” ready to be experienced if you want.

While not being an actual game you can play, it does use some of the latest gaming technology for a more interactive experience, and while I haven’t given it a go myself, I’m at least somewhat intrigued to see what it looks like.
It’s completely free, and doesn’t require you to sign up for anything or have a subscription to PlayStation Plus; rightly so as well as it’s not really a game.
I’m sure many PlayStation users will quickly overlook this freebie as again, it’s not a game in the traditional sense, so it’s not very exciting but give it a chance. It might be educational but it’s got an important message, and with the world in the state it’s in nowadays, we need messages like this more than ever.
I’d imagine one of the main reasons it was released was due to how many young people own a PlayStation these days, so in that case, it’s a smart idea to release it for gamers.

In other PlayStation news, there’s already a lot of talk about the PlayStation 6 despite it probably being years away at this point.
The next-gen console will apparently make some remarkable leaps in terms of gaming technology, which I’m sure will be great for the environment in terms of both production and disposal when the consoles are inevitably replaced…
Anyway, if you’re interested in checking out Climate Station it’s available now for your console and VR kit.
