PlayStation Plus confirms 9 more free games for October line-up

PlayStation Plus has confirmed all nine games that will be joining its Extra and Premium tier catalogues this month.

October hasn’t exactly been kind to us so far with the Essential tier line-up leaving many subscribers hugely disappointed.

Even still, all PlayStation Plus subscribers can now claim F1 25, Hunt: Showdown 1896, and Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2 from that tier.

As for the Extra and Premium tiers, we now know that seven games will be joining the former catalogue this month and two the latter.

The line-up includes the previously confirmed day one release Mycopunk, a co-op looter shooter previously available in early access on PC that Borderlands and Helldivers fans should enjoy.

After a long hiatus, we’re also getting a PlayStation first-party AAA too.

Every game joining PlayStation Plus Extra in October 2026:

Devolver Digital

• Mycopunk
• Horizon Forbidden West
• Mafia: The Old Country
• Poppy Playtime: Chapter 2
• The Midnight Walk
• Tales of Arise - Beyond The Dawn Edition
• Monster Energy Supercross 25 - The Official Video Game

Every game joining PlayStation Plus Premium in October 2026:

• Dino Crisis 2
• RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 Complete Edition

In most territories, all of the above games will become available to play from Tuesday, October 20.

However, in the UK, US, and Japan, PlayStation Plus continues to trial its phased rollout.

The Midnight Walk is the first game to land on October 14 in the US and UK and October 15 in Japan.

Mafia: The Old Country, Horizon Forbidden West, and Mycopunk then follow on October 20.

Poppy’s Playtime: Chapter 2 and Tales of Arise - Beyond The Dawn Edition then land on October 27, as does Monster Energy Supercross 25 - The Official Video Game.

October’s two Premium titles appear to be arriving on October 20, and those are Dino Crisis 2 and RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 Complete Edition, as a reminder.

It’s a good line-up, even if Horizon Forbidden West is a re-release. Mafia: The Old Country is the type of semi-recent AAA subscribers are after - and The Midnight Walk won a Game Award last year, so that’s definitely worth picking up.

Additionally, PlayStation has announced two new Game Trials for the Premium tier, Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy and Mortal Shell II, landing on October 20.

All subscribers can also grab the free PlayStation Plus exclusive stuff packs Back 4 Blood — Tunnels of Terror DLC Offer and Dead by Daylight Community Challenge 2 Plus Exclusive Pack.
