PS Plus members need to dive into this indie delight

The latest PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium games are in for April 2024 and it includes some absolute bangers such as the topic of today’s discussion.

It’s fair to say that 2023 was a fantastic year for video game releases offering the likes of Baldur’s Gate 3, Alan Wake 2, and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 to name a few. Last year was so fantastic that it may be easy to forget that we were also treated to Hogwarts Legacy, as well as the Dead Space and Resident Evil 4 remakes.

2023 also saw some amazing indie darlings with Oxenfree II: Lost Signals, Dredge and Sea of Stars leading the way. Another great indie game that arrived last year was Dave the Diver, developed and published by MintRocket, which is one of the inclusions for PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers this month.

Dave the Diver is a casual, single-player adventure RPG featuring deep-sea exploration and fishing during the day and sushi restaurant management at night. Join Dave and his quirky friends as they seek to uncover the secrets of the mysterious Blue Hole,” reads the game's description.

As reported by TrueTrophies.com (via GameInsights), Dave the Diver is the third most-played game to debut on PlayStation Plus to date as of 21 April 2024. According to the data, the top-five most played games on PS Plus is Stray sitting at number one, followed by GTA V, Dave the Diver, Sea of Thieves and Horizon Forbidden West.

Furthermore, Dave the Diver is currently the most successful game in the PS Plus Extra tier for 2024 so far, topping Need for Speed Unbound, Marvel’s Midnight Suns, Tiny Tina’s Wonderland and the Resident Evil 2 remake.

Dave the Diver is out now on PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch. It comes highly recommended from the GAMINGbible team.
