Fallout fans will have more wasteland to explore, if this recent update is to be believed, and it sounds like it’s coming soon, too.
In a recent update to the PTS server for Fallout 76, signs are pointing to the wasteland getting a big expansion, which follows up on the game’s director who previously hinted at a big update coming in December.
The PTS is a testing ground for new features, where some players can try out upcoming expansions and updates before they reach the live servers.
Since the recent update, signs are pointing to a big expansion out of Point Pleasant on the western side of the map.

In the previous version of the server, Silver Bridge was blocked off, broken and impassable.
However, the new update now has new structures and moth man cultists to fight, which has led Fallout fans to believe that we’ll soon be able to venture into Ohio, as the bridge connects to Gallipolis, Ohio.
Over on Reddit, fans are eager to see what’s in store, with hope that the game will pair up with the release of Fallout season two on Amazon Prime.
“If they can pull off a massive map expansion just as Season 2 of Fallout premieres, that would be huge for the game,” said Rarglar.

When season one debuted, the only crossover was some vault costumes, but since the show was so successful, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see more of a partnership this time around.
Another Redditor is intrigued by the possibilities, saying, “I saw that the bridge in Point Pleasant is being built with a wood path going toward the Ohio side. Anyone good with lore know factions that would be in Ohio around this time?”
In reply, DarthVeritlyn notes, “definitely Raider gangs,” so we could be seeing not only an expansion, but swarms of raiders across the map.
