To the surprise of absolutely no one, Grand Theft Auto VI is currently beating all the other competition on the PlayStation Store– and will likely continue to do so until the end of PlayStation 5’s lifespan.
A few months back, around about the same time the second trailer for the game dropped, Grand Theft Auto VI appeared on the PlayStation Store.
Now, don’t get too excited. That doesn’t mean Rockstar Games has suddenly decided to shadowdrop it or something; the game still won’t be coming out until May (at the earliest).
No, instead, this is just a little page that you can use to wishlist Grand Theft Auto VI– and oh boy, people sure have been wishlisting it.

As one user over on the r/GTA6 subreddit noticed, Grand Theft Auto VI is currently at the top of the “Trending” tab on the PlayStation 5 storefront… and has been since it was first added.
Goes without saying that this is not really a shocker, as sales expectations for GTA VI are through the roof. However, some fans think that this is an indication that the game is going to be the biggest video game release we’ll potentially see in our lifetimes.
“I'd argue this is the most anticipated game of the century so far, so I'm not really surprised”, commented user _Mcdrizzle_.
“I am genuinely concerned if I don’t preorder a physical copy that stores will underestimate the demand and sell out first day”, replied user awaythrowred8.

Yeah, I can see it, honestly.
I don’t think I’ve seen a game this hyped since, well… probably Red Dead Redemption II, funnily enough.
I fully expect Grand Theft Auto VI to break every sales record under the sun when it finally drops next year. Partially worried that everyone’s internet connections are going to temporarily black out from the collective strain of everyone installing it at the same time.
