You can check out four PlayStation games for free right now, and you don’t even need PS Plus.
As great as the PlayStation Plus and Xbox Game Pass subscription services can be, there’s nothing quite like playing a game that doesn't cost us a penny. Well, apart from needing a console and internet connection, of course.
Back in the 90s, demo discs that came with video game magazines were a true blessing. These discs not only contained trailers for upcoming releases, but also a generous selection of free playable demos.
Sadly, demo discs are a thing of the past. But thankfully, digital platforms such as Steam, Xbox Marketplace and the PlayStation Store are places to discover tons of free playable demos that you can easily access right now.

However, with so many demos to check out, it can get a bit overwhelming choosing what to play next. So, I’ve picked out four new indie games that you can check out right now:
- Casual Sport Series: Tennis (PS5/PS4): “Casual Sport Series: Tennis brings the excitement of the game to life with its accessible and action-packed gameplay. The game features realistic court surfaces just like in real tennis—play on grass, clay, or hard courts, each offering a unique feel and gameplay experience.”
- Old School Rally (PS5): “Old School Rally features fast-paced, arcade-style gameplay, with emphasis on driving skill and high-speed manoeuvres.”
- Space Adventure Cobra - The Awakening (PS5): “Dive into the universe of 'Space Adventure Cobra: The Awakening' and get a taste of level 3-1 through its exclusive demo! Explore a shady cemetery, venture into a crypt filled with ancient creatures, and use your skills to escape the Space Pirate Guild!”
- Velocity Riders (PS5): “Get ready for an adrenaline-pumping 3D bike racing adventure! Zoom through stunning environments with ultra-realistic graphics and smooth controls. Whether you're weaving through traffic or flying off ramps, every race feels real.”
Be sure to regularly check the PlayStation Store to see what other new demos become available in the days ahead.
