You can download four new PlayStation demos today for some promising games that may have flown under your radar. Oh, and you don't need PS Plus.
In this day and age, especially, it feels like everything is becoming more expensive, whether it's household bills, food, travel or partaking in our favourite hobbies, such as playing video games.
Typically, subscription services such as PlayStation Plus and Xbox Game Pass can be great ways of saving money when it comes to maintaining our video game hobby. For example, a single-month subscription is mostly way cheaper than a newly released AAA game.
That being said, even PlayStation Plus and Xbox Game Pass are continually becoming more expensive, such as Microsoft’s recent 50% price hike, which resulted in mass cancellations that crashed the website.

Thankfully, however, we still have access to tons of free playable demos, not only on PlayStation and Xbox, but also on PC and Nintendo. While only offering a snippet of a game, demos are usually the best way to determine whether or not it’s worth parting with our hard-earned cash.
With that in mind, here are four free demos that recently became available on the PlayStation Store with no requirement for a PS Plus subscription:
- Dark Atlas: Infernum: “Hear the voice in your head that haunts and tortures you. Follow its commands to the edge of the world. Embrace the darkness in Dark Atlas: Infernum, a first-person horror experience where you must remember who you are, stop the apocalypse, and face your demons.”
- Junkyard Fury 3: “The anomaly vehicles are back — and they’re more furious than ever! New areas have emerged that must be shut down, but one experiment won’t be enough this time. Each zone features a variety of experiment types and objectives to complete.”
- Kentum: “Stranded in the year 10,000, Kent—an average Joe turned clone—must survive, explore, and rebuild civilisation with the help of his quirky robot companion. Craft, farm, and automate in this 2D craftervania adventure as you uncover Earth’s secrets and kickstart humanity, one machine at a time.”
- Hyper Team Recon “is an adorable 3D platformer about three aliens and their adventure across Earth! Three energetic alien slimes, Ember, Penny and Lite, are tasked to travel to Earth to learn more about the lifeforms inhabiting the planet, using their species' unique morphing abilities to disguise themselves as girls to keep a low profile!”
Hopefully, at least one of the above will tickle your fancy.
