PlayStation Plus fans are loving this free game available to play on the service.

Ever since PlayStation Plus was revamped to include the old PlayStation Now free games, the subscription service has become a lot more enticing to fans.

When you can sign up for a small monthly fee, and get hundreds of games available to play, it can be hard to say no, right?

At the moment, PlayStation Plus fans are currently loving this game available on the Extra tier, with one user even saying it’s “way better than I expected”.

The game is Sand Land, based on the Japanese manga series by Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama, and available for PS4 and PS5.

It’s an open world RPG where you play as the main character Beelzebub, the Fiend Prince, leading your party throughout the world of Toriyama’s expansive imagination.

“I was unsure of playing Sand Land, but my love for Akira Toriyama made me decide to give it a chance after beating Death Stranding,” wrote one user on the PlayStation Plus Reddit page. “This game is way better than I thought it would be. If anyone out there likes anime, adventure and wants a break from serious games to play something fun, give it a shot.”

“I love the game and my kids love watching me play it so it's a double win,” wrote another user. “Light hearted fun and not too difficult.”

“Still can't believe the game even exists,” another reply reads. “I've loved the short little manga for so long thinking it would never even get an anime and then outta nowhere a game gets announced on top of an anime.”

The original poster of the thread came back a few hours later to respond once they’d finished the game, writing: “Just beat the game. Rated it a 90/100. Is it perfect? No. Is it a fun experience that isn’t so serious? Absolutely.

“Felt like I was a kid again playing this. Loved the storyline and the gameplay, just simple enough without feeling dumbed down, just interesting enough to not get boring. 21 hours of my life gone for the better.”

Be sure to check out Sand Land if you’re a subscriber to PlayStation Plus Extra. It appears the game is also on sale for 50% off too, if you fancy buying it.
