Red Dead Redemption 2 Gets Free Legend Of Zelda Twist

The Legend of Zelda fans now have a reason to revisit Red Dead Redemption 2, thanks to a new mod which adds in a major Breath of the Wild feature.
Ultimate Paraglider Overhaul is a brand new mod for Red Dead Redemption 2 which adds in the familiar paraglider tool from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
Even if you've only briefly touched Breath of the Wild, you'll know what I'm talking about. The paraglider has been one of the most popular features of the series over the last few years, to the point where it has been adapted into other games like Genshin Impact and Sky: Children of the Light.
"Traverse through the skies like never before! Freely pull out a paraglider while mid air and glide to your destinations! You can even ride updrafts from any fire source!" reads the description for the Ultimate Paraglider Overhaul mod for Red Dead Redemption 2.

How it works is pretty simple. Whenever you're mid-air, whether that's from jumping off a rooftop or leaping from a high cliff, press a button to pull the paraglider out and switch to what the mod calls "Gliding Mode".
Here, your descent will be slowed down and you can fully control your movement. You can deactivate it at any point, and reactivate it again as long as you're still in the air.
Similar to how it works in Zelda, you can also fly over fire sources and updrafts to gain new altitude.
Interestingly enough, the mod also comes with a few optional files to make Red Dead Redemption 2 into more of a Zelda-esque game.
One of these downloads adds Link's outfit to the game (based on his traditional green attire as opposed to the Breath of the Wild blues that he wears in the newer games), which Arthur can wear at any point after acquiring it.
The other download adds the Master Sword to Red Dead Redemption 2, replacing either the machete or broken pirate sword.
Then you can run around Red Dead Redemption 2's American West map as everyone's favourite Hylian warrior.
