The recent inclusion of PlayStation Plus has divided fans in a big way but is it hit or miss with you?

Regardless of the tier that you subscribe to, Sony’s PlayStation Plus offers a plethora of video games at no extra cost as well as other perks such as discounts, free DLC and more. Sometimes, you may even get a launch title such as the topic of today’s discussion, The Plucky Squire.

Check out The Plucky Squire trailer below!

In our review of The Plucky Squire, we said: “is charm personified, and is impossible not to welcome into your heart. It’s a lovingly made sunny day of a game, a throwback to the classics with enough modern touches and genuinely original ideas to ensure it stands on its own two feet. Don’t leave this one on the shelf, whatever you do.”

The Plucky Squire is one of 13 games that dropped for PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscribers in September 2024 and has mostly been a hit with gamers. On the aggregate website Metacritic, The Plucky Squire scored 84 from critics and 7.4 from users.

Fans have been discussing this charming PlayStation Plus platforming adventure on Reddit with AgentEndive asking “Anyone else playing The Plucky Squire?”

“I gave it a try. It's not my thing,” replied Mysterious_Fennel459 with definetlydifferently adding “I dropped it the moment I instantly failed the stealth section near the start of the game.”

“I already finished it, it's a cool little game but unfortunately, I got several glitches that broke the fun forcing me to replay some chapters,” said ZSharoark. “The game is very linear, so if you have PS Plus it's worth checking it out

“I'm enjoying it. It's incredibly charming and I'm smiling through a lot of it,” replied ArmadilloGuy. “It's not the mind-blowing game I'd hoped for after seeing the first trailer, but it's cute and fun enough.

“Yes! I’m really enjoying it. It's a nice change from the neck-breaking speed run levels of Astro Bot,” says AccurateAssaultBeef.

“I finished it yesterday (took me about 12 hours). It was a lot of fun, I really enjoyed it,” said Tomason_m.

The Plucky Squire is out now on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch.
