Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 was such a mixed bag, as on the one hand, it expanded on so many great things found in Marvel’s Spider-Man and the Miles Morales spin-off game, but on the other felt a tad half-baked.
Most of the problems can be found in its story but some of the gameplay additions weren’t received well by players, with many claiming it felt far too similar to the first game and wasn’t really a sequel.
Whatever your opinion, it definitely wasn’t the worst game released in 2023, and it set up some interesting story points for Marvel’s Spider-Man 3.

If you haven’t got around to playing Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 yet, or perhaps you saw some of the player feedback and aren’t sure if it’s for you or not, there’s an easy fix.
With a subscription to PlayStation Plus Premium you can access a free demo on the PlayStation Store, a great way to try before you buy.
The demo lasts around two hours and if memory serves, that’ll take you through the first mission against Sandman and give you plenty of time to do some city exploration with the new web-wings.
It’s a good time; it’s only around the middle part of the game where things start to get a bit tiresome, only to pick back up towards the latter half of the story.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 isn’t the only demo you can play using your PlayStation Plus Premium subscription, as other games like The Last Of Us Part II Remastered can also be played for free for a limited-time.
The Last Of Us Part II Remastered is well-worth playing right now too as the game is currently celebrating its fifth anniversary.
PlayStation Plus Premium might be the more expensive option for PlayStation’s subscription service but you can’t deny it has its perks.
