It’s Nintendo that may be occupying the headlines today with its latest Nintendo Direct, but amid the noise, PlayStation has unveiled its latest PlayStation Plus line-up.
Today, it’s the turn of extra and premium tier subscribers to find out which free offerings will soon be heading their way.
In case you missed it, all PlayStation Plus subscribers can now claim September 2026’s essential tier line-up which comprises Sniper Elite: Resistance, MLB The Show 26, Wobbly Life, and Chained Echoes.
Those games are available to claim until Monday October 5 and as with all essential tier games, they’re yours to enjoy once claimed for as long as you remain a subscriber.

As for what the extra and premium tier catalogues have to offer us this month, well, we’re getting a day one launch in RuneScape: Dragonwilds.
Having previously landed on PC, the open-world survival title is heading to consoles on September 15, launching day one on PlayStation Plus’ extra tier - as previously revealed at a State of Play event.
Let’s hope it’s as good as the former 2026 day one offering Big Walk which is a major GOTY contender, albeit up against some stuff competition.
As for the reminder of the September extra and premium tier line-up, you can find that below.
PlayStation Plus extra catalogue games for September 2026

- RuneScape: Dragonwilds (September 15)
- WWE 2K26 (September 15)
- BALL X PIT (September 22)
- Date Everything! (September 9 in US/UK, September 10 in Japan)
- Slitterhead (September 22)
- Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound (September 29)
- Dungeons of Hinterberg (September 29)
- Sniper Elite: Resistance (September 29)
If you reside in the UK, USA, or Japan, PlayStation Plus is continuing to trial its phased rollout with the dates above referring to when each title will become available.
For those elsewhere, ignore those dates, as all of these games will drop for you on Tuesday September 15.
Sniper Elite: Resistance feels like a bit of non-event given that it’s also included in this month’s essential tier line-up; it isn’t the first instance of PlayStation doubling up on titles within the same month this year either.
Date Everything! And BALL x PIT were well received upon release, so it’ll be nice to see those titles receive some more love - and RuneScape: Dragonwilds doesn’t look too bad.
It’s not, admittedly, the strongest line-up we’ve seen though.

PlayStation Plus premium catalogue games for September 2026
- Mega Man X Command Mission (September 15)
- Metro Redux (September 15)
This month, premium subscribers have two games to look forward to which is more than the typical one PlayStation often opts for, so that has to be seen as a win.
However, Metro Redux is a bizarre inclusion given that the premium tier has always been designed to offer subscribers classic titles of yesteryear.
Typically, that’s always referred to those that originally launched on the PS1, PS2, PS3, or PSP.
Metro Redux, however, first launched on the PS4. You may recall that PlayStation Plus previously announced that it would no longer offer PS4-only titles from 2026.
It seems a bit cheeky then that they are doing that, but moving those titles behind a paywall and away from the extra tier.
