PlayStation has confirmed 8 more free games for PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium in September.
If you’re a PlayStation Plus subscriber, the chances are you’re doing it for the free games that Sony regularly drops each month. Whether you’re on Essential, Extra, or Premium, there’s plenty to get excited about.
Around this time every month, Sony announces the next batch of games that will be coming to PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium, with them set to go live around a week later.
This month sees PlayStation adding 8 new free games for September, and they’ll go live on 16th September.

It's a bit of a lighter drop this month, all things considered. Still, there's likely to be at least one or two games here that might tickle your fancy.
WWE 2K25 should be appealing to wrestling fans, and there are a few indie games in there that are quite appealing, such as Crow Country and The Invincible.
However, there isn't really a massive standout headliner this month compared to previous months.
For example, the Game Catalog in August included Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered and Mortal Kombat 1. In July, it was Cyberpunk 2077, Abiotic Factor, and Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden.

Having only one game added to PlayStation Plus Premium for this month also seems a bit disappointing, considering it's the most expensive tier available for the service.
One month of PlayStation Plus Extra costs £10.99 in the United Kingdom, while a month of PlayStation Plus Premium is priced at £13.49. It's a little more expensive for only just one more game added this month.
Hopefully Sony is saving the big guns for later on in the year. It's around Black Friday that a lot of users tend to resubscribe to the service, so having a few massive hits join PlayStation Plus in October or November would certainly drive a lot of new subscriptions and renewals.
In addition to the games, PlayStation Plus also offers other benefits such as limited-time trials, game streaming, and exclusive discounts on the PlayStation Store. It also allows for online multiplayer access, which is something also available on the cheapest tier priced at just £6.99 per month.
