Red Dead Redemption 2: Peaceful Frontier lets you completely change the game's world

Ah, this is the good life

Do you long for the quiet life? To be able to take life at your own pace without interference from meddling gangs and thieves? Do you just want to take it easy? If you answered yes to all three, Red Dead Redemption 2: Peaceful Frontier is going to make those dreams come true.

As much as the base RDR2 game is a solid experience, blood, murder, and mayhem included, there’s something to be said for not having to worry about getting attacked while enjoying a cool night on the farmstead.

We're throwing it back to the Red Dead Redemption 2 launch trailer!

This expansion comes from NexusMods, courtesy of modder aturovidal009. It’s a simple offering that drastically changes the game’s world due to it “permanently removing gangs”. Of course, this does mean that should you want to collect bounties, it’s best to do it before installing the mod, as aturovidal009 explains, “Some missions and bounty missions will not work due to peds [NPCs] being removed, so I suggest [you] do it all before using this mod.”

With players now able to build and customise their own house in RDR2, Peaceful Frontier feels like the perfect mod to complement that. Thankfully, Peaceful Frontier works with other mods, provided you’re using Lenny’s Mod Loader, meaning you shouldn’t have any trouble living the dream of an idyllic life.

RDR2 offers such a mindblowing open-world experience, one which fans still praise to this day, with the gangs included. Yet, without those gangs pestering you, you can take Arthur on a relaxed ride through its many locations, channelling serenity better than any monk could ever dream of.

It won’t make the heartbreaking ending any easier to deal with, but at least Arthur will have lived life in the slow lane for once. Let’s call it a goodbye present for him, to mark his hard work.

Make sure to head to NexusMods to get Peaceful Frontier for free, it might just change yours and Arthur’s life.
