There is no denying that Red Dead Redemption 2 is already a stunning game and still holds up despite it coming into its seventh year.
Known for its stunning vistas, diverse open-world and a dynamic weather system, it is no surprise that Red Dead Redemption 2 is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful looking video games of all time.
Although it may still be a while until we see a third instalment, Red Dead Redemption 2 can still be enjoyed for years to come, especially thanks to its dedicated modding community who are doing what they can to push the Rockstar game to its limits.
That is the case for modder no12 who has created the VESTIGIA 2.0 mod for Red Dead Redemption 2 over on Nexus Mods.

The brand-new mod is a visual overhaul for the game which “rebuilds the environment” by including “photorealistic visuals, immersive weather and enhanced graphical detail.”
“VESTIGIA 2.0 is an overhaul of RDR's visual environment that aims to create natural-looking, immersive and dynamic visuals,” the mod description reads.
“Changes include a revamped weather system, recreated visuals/timecycles, tonemapping changes, added graphical detail, and much more!”
A video of the mod in action can be seen here but in the meantime, we can check out a detailed feature list which includes: slower and more natural weather transitions, revamped weather probabilities, a new wind system, changes to rain, snow and ice visuals for more realism, changes to grass visuals, and much more.
As with all mods over on Nexus Mods, it is completely free to download as long as you own Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC and its creator even explains how to install it if you are new to modding.
