Set to be the game of the year, nay, the game of the decade, nay, the game of the century, Grand Theft Auto VI will demand unprecedented prices - but initial leaks of a colossal fee have now been debunked.
Much has been made of how much Rockstar Games has already spent on GTA VI, becoming the most expensive title in history.
With that, sales will skyrocket, and it carries the aura of being the only game to ever release that can rightly set a never-before-seen price, should it want to.
That fee has yet to be announced, although ahead of the pre-orders going live this Thursday, one retailer let slip that five versions of the game are to be produced, costing up to around £175 for the most expensive.

However, leakers now suggest that these prices are not to be believed, although the number of products should.
Rather interestingly, GTA VI will be opening pre-orders on Thursday despite us not seeing any gameplay footage (yet - there's three days left, Rockstar).
With that, the pricing will become official, and early suggestions were that the base game will cost a minimum of '€89.99'. Converted, that stands about $100 in US dollars and £80 in the United Kingdom.

Each additional package will see a rise in price, with the same leaks suggesting upgrades of €89.99, €99.99, €109.99, €119.99, and €199.99.
Yet a highly reliable leaker has now put their cards on the table and claimed that these are nothing but placeholders.
Leaker 'Billbil-kun' took to X to say, "Those SKUs are just placeholders [because] EAN codes (like UPC in US) aren’t belonging to Take-Two traditional games prefixes. So those prices are random ones."
What wasn't challenged, though, is the number of different variations of GTA VI that will launch.
Starting off, it is likely that GTA VI will have two 'base' versions of the game with varying prices. The digital version often comes out cheaper, while a physical disk will tack on a few dollars.
Deluxe editions will presumably follow for both digital and physical copies, adding a few bonus features with another bump in price.
Then, there is the suspected Collector's Edition, the details of which have been sparse at the moment, but if those early 'leaks' are even slightly right, rumours suggest it will cost twice as much as the base game and include a wealth of additional bonuses.
Fans are bracing themselves for a huge reveal this week, which should finally give us a better insight into what our money is going towards.
