Devout Grand Theft Auto VI followers have marked their calendars for 23 June, with hope that the next trailer for the game could drop at any moment following that date.
It’s been over a year since we got the last trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI, and if the past few months has proven anything, it’s that fans are eager for a crumb of news or footage from the upcoming game.
From secretly measuring the audio levels at Rockstar HQ to analysing the marketing pattern for Red Dead Redemption 2, it’s clear that fans are desperate for the developer to finally drop that next trailer.
As we previously learned, Take-Two and Rockstar Games intend to start marketing Grand Theft Auto VI over the summer.

In the northern hemisphere, summer is generally regarded as beginning at the mark of the summer solstice, which is 21 June, and ends around 22 September.
As it stands, Grand Theft Auto fans reckon that this will mark a rough date for when Rockstar Games will drop the next trailer for the upcoming game.
With 21 June falling on a Sunday though, some fans have now theorised that the following week could be the date that the third trailer for GTA VI finally arrives.

“June 21, marking the official start of astronomical summer,” writes Reddit user Expensive-Apricot354.
“So June 21 is a Sunday and the 23 would be the closest Tuesday. We are getting more stuff on June 23. Mark my words.”
Bold words from a random Reddit user, no doubt, though it does fit a pattern of GTA fans believing that Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick saying Rockstar intends to start the next marketing beat for the game over the summer as he means it’ll begin as soon as summer begins.
“At least a week left until the GTA 6 Launch Marketing officially kicks off,” reads a post from 15 June by GTA 6 Countdown, an X (formerly Twitter) account dedicated to posting about the Grand Theft Auto series and other Rockstar properties.
“This month has been stacked with video game reveals and i completely forgot about it,” reads a quote reply above the post.
“I'm really looking forward to the third trailer for GTA 6 once marketing finally starts,” reads another post.
Grand Theft Auto VI is set to release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on 19 November, 2026, following two delays which saw the game bumped from a 2025 release to the end of 2026.
There have been fears among fans that a third delay may be possible, though official statements from Take-Two and Rockstar, as well as insider reports, claim that the game will no longer be delayed for a third time and is indeed set to release in November.
