Rockstar announces free GTA Online DLC you can claim right before Grand Theft Auto 6 comes out

Rockstar Games has surprisingly announced a new free DLC giveaway for GTA Online, giving players something extra to enjoy before Grand Theft Auto VI finally arrives next month.

After all, with GTA VI scheduled to launch on November 19, the long-awaited sequel is going to be taking up the vast majority of gaming time for many PS5 owners, old and new.

That said, Rockstar hasn't forgotten about GTA Online, which continues to receive new content and special events more than a decade after its original release. Plus, if you’ve been itching to get back into the Grand Theft Auto vibe to get your muscle memory all warmed up for Vice City, the developer has revealed another limited-time promotion offering a very special reward for absolutely free.

Rockstar announced on October 30 that GTA Online players can get their hands on the Grotti Turismo Omaggio supercar, which can be added with Rockstar Motorsport livery, without spending any money.

The giveaway comes through a new Twitch Drops campaign celebrating nopixel V, with players rewarded for watching selected streamers play the popular GTA V roleplaying experience.

To claim the free car, as explained by both Twitch and Rockstar, players first need to link their Twitch and Rockstar Games accounts through Rockstar's official Twitch Drops website.

Once connected, they must watch four hours of eligible nopixel V streams, with participating creators including xQc, Valkyrae, Jerma985, Cinna, and Burn.

After reaching the required viewing time, the supercar can be redeemed through the Twitch Drops Inventory page. The catch in this case, though, is that Rockstar's promotion only runs across this weekend plus 12 hours, with Twitch confirming that the campaign ends at 11:59am GMT on Monday, November 2.

Players also need to claim their rewards manually, whilst watching multiple streams simultaneously won't speed up the process.

It’s additionally important to note that it might take up to 72 hours to have your reward delivered after meeting the requirements. If you achieved unlocking the Grotti Turismo Omaggio before November 2 but forgot to add it to your game, don’t worry, as players will have until November 11 to claim it.

What makes GTA Online's free Grotti Turismo Omaggio special?

Originally introduced in GTA Online's The Chop Shop update, the Grotti Turismo Omaggio normally costs $2,845,000 through Legendary Motorsport.

Inspired by the Ferrari F8 Tributo, the supercar is all about boasting excellent traction and handling, although its roughly 121mph top speed is relatively modest compared to other go-to supercars available in the game.

The car has been well and truly part of the game with its many colour schemes since late 2023, but the ‘Rockstar Games’ styling is by far the coolest — sporting yellow, black and white colours, Rockstar branding and the number 25.

If you’re planning on leaving GTA Online to spend all your time in Grand Theft Auto VI from now on, driving around in this free beauty of an in-game car seems like a great way to say goodbye.
