If you’re reading this, then there’s a good chance that you're hyped for the release of GTA VI later this year as we await news on when trailer three might drop. It has been an agonising wait for Grand Theft Auto fans as it is, with trailer two dropping over a year ago in May 2025.
However, Rockstar Games has given us no indication as to when we’ll be treated to a third trailer. There’s probably a good chance that the GTA developer will unexpectedly release it on a random weekday with no prior tease.
With that in mind, a very dedicated fan has gone the extra mile to gather the information we’ve been craving. By loitering outside of Rockstar Games HQ and apparently borrowing Sam Fisher’s Tactical Audio Kit from the Splinter Cell series.
“As you all may know, I set up acoustics around the Rockstar HQ to measure audio levels specifically near a meeting room. I can confirm that upon returning to my rig to check the latest data, it was no longer there. I did think this would happen, and that there was a possible risk in leaving equipment near the HQ, so to say I am unsurprised is.. Normal,” explained Redditor Then-Pomegranate-625.
“This brings me to my next idea, which I implemented the same night, and last night, which has already seen some really interesting data, " they continued. “This graph shows car traffic of the Rockstar HQ, the value of cars, the number of cars, times and timing. Such data allows us to speculate on how many executives may be spending time at the HQ as opposed to regular employees.”

Then-Pomegranate-625 went on to explain that the data gathered might suggest that work within the Rockstar Games HQ has intensified, especially with the number of employee cars stationed in the car park after 5 pm. In other words, all hands are on deck internally, prepping for the release of the third GTA VI trailer. Apparently.
“I hope this is satire,” replied FromChicago808, to which TriiCop responded, “This isn’t satire. Dude has shown pictures of his microphone setups. This is what happens when you have no life or friends.”
“If you're baiting, you're a genius. If you're serious, get help,” suggested D-Tunez.
“There are 65 cars, 6+5=11. November is the 11th month. 11+65=76, and we are 167 days away from GTA today. 1+6+7=14, 1+4=5. The last GTA was 5, which means the next trailer should be in 5 days,” joked HalalTrout.
I know we’re all excited for the release of GTA VI, but maybe stalking Rockstar Games isn't the healthiest choice, especially if it might land you in trouble with the law.
Grand Theft Auto VI will be released on 19 November 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Rockstar Games hasn't announced the PC port yet.
