Grand Theft Auto VI’s PC port is said to be releasing much sooner than planned, according to the latest sources.
GTA VI will launch on November 19 exclusively for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S gamers, but like previous Rockstar games there’ll undoubtedly be a PC port at some point.
While previous PC ports have taken months, and sometimes years, to come out, GameBeat claims we could see the port as soon as early 2027.
GamesBeat said it has “confirmed that Rockstar plans to release the PC version of GTA VI in the first quarter of 2027, according to four industry sources familiar with the studio’s plans, all of whom requested anonymity to avoid damaging business relationships. A Rockstar Games representative did not respond to a request for comment prior to the publication of this article.”

Now obviously take the above with a pinch of salt as we don't know who these mysterious industry sources are and what connection they have to Rockstar Games.
Rockstar representatives not replying prior to the article going live doesn't seem out of the ordinary either, as the company has been pretty strict on its vow of silence regarding leaks and rumours.
Based on GamesBeat's article though and murmurings online there's a good chance GTA VI's PC port is indeed coming as soon as Q1 2027, especially when you recall how long it took Rockstar to release Red Dead Redemption 2 on the platform.

Rockstar Games' history with PC ports makes it understandable why it'd rush GTA VI out of the door
Grand Theft Auto V launched on consoles in 2013 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Which makes us feel pretty old nowadays... The game's PC port took quite a while, and only released in 2015.
Red Dead Redemption 2 was a different story. The game launched in 2018 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and later launched on PC in 2019. It took a little less time than GTA V, but fans still had to wait nonetheless.
As you'd expect this decision didn't go down well with fans. Having such a long gap between platform releases makes it easy for the game to be spoiled in the meantime, and that same fear is what's getting Grand Theft Auto fans riled up about GTA VI.
From the sound of things though Rockstar has learned from its mistakes and plans to get as many gamers playing as possible, in as little time as possible. Many have argued the situation could be avoided entirely if Rockstar would simply release GTA VI on all platforms at launch, but anyone with a background in game development knows there's nothing simple about that, especially with a game as massive as GTA VI.
Rockstar's parent-company Take-Two Interactive has justified the decision further by explaining most Grand Theft Auto players exist on consoles as opposed to PC, so from a business perspective it makes sense to ensure the console version of the game is as optimised as possible before moving onto another platform.
So once again, take GamesBeat's take with a pinch of salt until Rockstar Games officially confirms or denies the PC port release date. However the optimist in us says it's right on the money based on the company's prior history with PC ports.
