It’s the day you’ve all been waiting for. Rockstar Games has finally confirmed that pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto VI are soon set to open, locking in the game’s 19 November release date.
After several delays, Grand Theft Auto fans can finally breathe a sigh of relief with pre-orders for GTA VI due to open for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on Thursday 25 June.
For months, there has been rampant speculation over how much the game will cost with some analysts arguing it should charge as much as $80 to $100.
Speculation can't yet be put to rest as GTA VI hasn't confirmed pricing, instead revealing that pre-orders will simply open on both digital storefronts and at select retailers on 25 June.

There’s still no word on a PC port which is expected to follow the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S launch in the coming years.
Rockstar Games has, however, confirmed the game's cover art.

"Pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto VI will officially begin on June 26 on digital storefronts and at other select trailers," the tweet began, randomly dropping as is typical of Rockstar Games.
"Check out the official cover art, also available as downloadable artwork," it continued, with gamers able to download the artwork from Rockstar Games' official website.
The cover is very typical of Grand Theft Auto, using the franchise's signature stylised key art in somewhat of a collage. Pre-released images of Jason and Lucia feature alongside new art showcasing characters like Boobie Ike and Raul Bautista.
Unfortunately, alongside not yet addressing pricing, Rockstar Games also is yet to mention the various editions we can expect when pre-orders do go live.
Alongside the standard version of the title, it's very much expected that GTA VI will have a deluxe and perhaps even collectors edition. For now though, we just don't know and will clearly have to wait until next week to find out what's in store.
Rockstar Games hasn't indicated that we should expect any additional information ahead of 25 June but then again, this is Rockstar Games. Making random announcements is in the studio's lifeblood.
Now that GTA VI has set a date for its pre-orders, it's clear that the game isn't going to be delayed again. It did, at this stage, seem unlikely, but this should put the minds of any doubters at ease.
What fans will now be itching to know - alongside the aforementioned pricing and versions - is whether pre-orders will be accompanied by the game's highly anticipated third trailer.
It perhaps feels unlikely. Certainly, a third trailer isn't very far away, but Rockstar Games needs to market GTA VI up until its 19 November launch date.
The opening of pre-orders will catapult the title, once again, into the spotlight - although it's not as if GTA VI ever really went away.
It doesn't feel unreasonable to suggest that GTA VI's third trailer and gameplay reveal might be held until July or August to maintain discussion and hype surrounding the game.
For now though, all we know for certain is that we need our wallets ready on 25 June.
