Grand Theft Auto VI has just had a new price leaked, and this one may be the most realistic one we’ve seen so far.
Speculation surrounding the price of Grand Theft Auto VI have persisted for years, with rumours ranging from the standard $70 to the more lucrative $100 as a baseline cost.
While the reality hasn’t fully been confirmed by Rockstar Games yet, we’re set to officially find out when Grand Theft Auto VI pre-orders become available on 25 June.
French online retailer fnac (via GamesRadar) may have just inadvertently leaked an early look at the prices for Grand Theft Auto VI ahead of this, giving us a first look at the possible cost of the game ahead of Rockstar’s announcement.

The retailer, which operates across the entire European continent, has listed five different SKUs on its website under the names RS1, RS2, RS3, RS4, and RS5 with a release date of 19 November, 2026.
Assuming that “RS” means Rockstar, then this is most likely the five different editions which Grand Theft Auto VI will be released under.
What’s more, each listing had an associated price marked next to them before they were taken down. The prices in each order are €89.99, €99.99, €109.99, €119.99, and €199.99.
If this leak is true, then it means that the baseline price for Grand Theft Auto VI will cost you €89.99. That converts to about $100 in US dollars, and £80 in the United Kingdom.
Breaking this down, we can also make some pretty safe assumptions about what each listing may represent in terms of editions.
For starters, it’s likely that physical and digital purchases may be priced differently. This is what Nintendo did when it priced Mario Kart World at £75 for the physical version, and £66.99 digitally, eight quid less than the cartridge.
With this in mind, it’s likely that the €89.99 and €99.99 prices are for the standard edition, with one being the physical and the other being a digital code. The two listings at €109.99 and €119.99 would be for physical and digital deluxe editions which may feature some additional content.
Finally, the €199.99 listing is almost certainly for the collector’s edition, which hasn’t been revealed yet but is likely to be physical only and includes a bunch of extra swag you can’t get anywhere else.

Rockstar has done collector’s editions for some of its previous games. Grand Theft Auto V’s collector’s edition included a Los Santos snapback cap, a physical map of the city, a steelbook case, and some digital extras.
Meanwhile, the collector’s box for Red Dead Redemption 2 featured a treasure map, double sided puzzle, a physical catalogue, some cigarette and playing cards, and a selection of bonus collectible pins.
Regardless of which edition you end up putting money down on for Grand Theft Auto VI, it’s safe to say this is going to be an expensive purchase nonetheless.
And unfortunately, it does seem like the most realistic price for the game so far.
