I think we can all agree it's time Bethesda remastered The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. The 2006 RPG is a sprawling adventure beloved by many to this day. While it's not quite as polished or accessible (by Bethesda standards) as The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, it's one heck of a game that still deserves your love and attention.
That's why, all these years later, the fans are still crying out for Oblivion to get a second shot at life on a new console. Skyrim has had multiple chances on a seemingly endless parade of consoles, after all. It's time we put some respect on that game's predecessor, isn't it?
While we might not be any closer to an official Oblivion remaster, YouTube channel Digital Dreams has just provided a delicious glimpse into what one day might be. The below video shows a heavily modded version (there are over 200 mods installed) of the game running at 4K with ray-tracing enabled. The result really is a sight to behold.

With The Elder Scrolls VI no closer to releasing, an Oblivion remaster would certainly do quite nicely. Unfortunately this year all the Elder Scrolls action we have to look forward to is yet another port of Skyrim. At least they included a fishing minigame this time. That'll make it worth it, right? I ask that as if I'm not absolutely going to play it again, but at least I have the good grace to hate myself for it.
"Is it just me or do you guys think they need to stop f*cking with Skyrim and work on remastering Oblivion or Morrowind?" asked One_Wedding7059 on the Skyrim subreddit last month in a post that garnered thousands of upvotes and comments of agreement. Come on Bethesda, make it happen. Just look how good it could be.
