Highly-anticipated GTA 6 trailer to land on Netflix later this month

In an announcement that no one saw coming, the next trailer for GTA VI will drop on Netflix this month, of all places.

Fans have been waiting well over a year for the highly anticipated trailer three for GTA VI, and like an RKO out of nowhere, Rockstar Games has announced that we’ll be getting an extended look on Netflix.

Many expected the GTA VI trailer three to drop any day, but we doubt anyone expected it to premiere on the Netflix streaming service. Typically, most trailers, including those of the Grand Theft Auto variety, will drop exclusively on Rockstar Games’ social media channels.

When is the GTA 6 extended look?

Rockstar Games has announced that the extended look of GTA VI will premiere on Netflix this month on Thursday, August 27. Does this count as trailer three? Only time will tell. Fans certainly saw something coming after some of Rockstar's recent suspicious activity.

The extended look will take place at 3pm ET, which is 8pm in the UK. However, Rockstar Games has confirmed that the new trailer will also be released later on the official YouTube channel and the GTA VI website at 9pm ET/2am in the UK.

It’s unclear exactly what we’ll get to see in this extended look, but hopefully, we’ll be treated to loads of juicy GTA VI gameplay footage. The previous trailers have mainly focused on in-game/engine cinematics, so if we do see some proper gameplay, fans' wait will finally be over. Then the agonising wait begins for our first look at the next iteration of GTA Online. Hopefully, we'll get our first tease of GTA Online around the launch of GTA VI.

GTA 6 fans react to the Netflix drop!

“LETSSSS GOOO,” yelled a fan account, GTA News.

“OH MY GOD GAMEPLAY?” asked SynthPotato.

“IMMEDIATELY ADDED TO CALENDAR,” declared HuinGuillaume.

“When is GTA VI trailer three? I am out of patience now,” exclaimed gtaonton. Hopefully, this will be it.

What’s the story of GTA VI?

“Vice City, USA. Jason and Lucia have always known the deck is stacked against them,” reads the synopsis of the game.

“But when an easy score goes wrong, they find themselves on the darkest side of the sunniest place in America, in the middle of a criminal conspiracy stretching across the state of Leonida — forced to rely on each other more than ever if they want to make it out alive.”

Recently, Rockstar Games revealed that GTA VI will launch as a digital-only game, which, understandably, did not please the masses. That being said, it will still most likely go on to become one of the best-selling video games of all time.

Grand Theft Auto VI will be released on November 19 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. The inevitable PC port hasn't been officially announced yet. We'll let you know as soon as the PC release date announcement is made.
