Fallout fans hyped following major announcement from Bethesda

All eyes on 23 October

It’s been a pretty good year for Fallout fans.

Yes, Fallout 5 remains a distant dream but there’s been plenty else to keep us busy.

Prime Video’s TV adaptation landed and fair to say, it blew us all away and was fully deserving of all its Emmy nods.

Bethesda coincided this with the launch of Fallout 4’s long-awaited new-gen update, while Fallout 76’s Skyline Valley expansion launched during the summer.

Well, it seems that additional announcements are soon to be shared.

The Last of Us has the aptly titled The Last of Us Day. Mass Effect has N7 Day.

Now, Bethesda is set to launch Fallout Day which will be held on 23 October - that’s next Wednesday.

ICYMI: We sat down with the cast of Fallout to play snog, marry, irradiate. Take a look below.

Unlike those other franchise days, Fallout Day isn’t set to include announcements for projects across the series.

Instead, it’ll predominantly focus on Fallout 76, but it’s still exciting to see what’s next for the game.

“Tune in for a very S.P.E.C.I.A.L. #FalloutDay Broadcast on October 23. Get a sneak preview of new content in Fallout 76 and catch some developer interviews,” a tweet read.

“After the broadcast, celebrate with our friends @FalloutforHope for their Community Parade.”

On 23 October, the event will kick off at 12pm PST / 3pm EST / 8pm BST.

It’ll be nice to hear about what’s next for Fallout 76 but naturally, all fans can think of is Fallout 5 - a game that will not be touched upon.

“We just want a new Fallout,” one fan wrote.

“Nothing on Fallout 5 or New Vegas remake so goodbye,” added another.

Naturally, there was some excitement amongst the naysayers - and, of course, we’ll be keeping an eye on any major announcements.
