Grand Theft Auto VI is nearing its launch, and it looks as if fans will be able to get their hands on some free DLC ahead of November 19.
That’s because a partnership between Discord and Rockstar Games is seemingly on the way, having been leaked online.
It was Twitter/X account WumpusCentral that originally leaked the campaign, codenamed ‘Hexagon’, describing it as a “limited-time promotional event”.
The campaign reportedly includes a GTA VI-themed app icon, a GTA VI app theme, plus a GTA VI-style custom display name font.

WumpusCentral was able to datamine the event’s starting date as November 17 at 6pm UTC with the campaign drawing to a close on December 8 for most and February 15 for Nitro users.
If you’re not aware, Discord Nitro is a paid premium edition of the app.
You should take this with a pinch of salt as Discord could amend the event, but it’s looking as if these plans are locked in place.
Perhaps most excitingly, WumpusCentral closed out their report by teasing that the event looks to feature “some quest with [an] unknown reward”.
It’s for this reason that it’s now believed that GTA VI players may be able to secure themselves some kind of in-game DLC reward.
At this point, it’s not yet known precisely what that in-game reward might look like, and it’s perhaps safer to temper your expectations.
The reward is most likely to be a cosmetic for Jason or Lucia, redeemable after having completed Discord’s mystery quest.
Even so, GTA VI soon-to-be gamers are hyped nonetheless, responding to a reshare of the story by popular Twitter/X account SynthPotato.
“Strauss Zelnick wasn’t joking when he talked about creative marketing that Rockstar Games was going to do for this game,” one said.
“Hell yeah! Give me everything GTA VI,” another commented.

GTA VI will not be arriving on PC day one, despite recent claims
GTA VI’s upcoming Discord campaign isn’t the only new tidbit about the game to come to light.
It arrived alongside a report from The Verge that claimed Xbox had secured exclusive streaming rights for GTA VI, including the ability to stream to PC.
This naturally caused hysteria considering no PC edition of GTA VI has been announced, but the report has already been debunked.
While it does appear that GTA VI will be available to cloud stream, streaming will not be exclusive to Xbox, and you won’t be able to stream to PC.
Xbox CSO Matthew Ball made that perfectly clear: “While the excitement for GTA VI and Xbox is great to see, it has also led to some misreporting. We are looking forward to launching GTA VI on Xbox November 19, though the game will not be streaming exclusively or to PC.”
The Verge has since updated its report, clarifying the error.
The noise surrounding GTA VI is unlikely to quell anytime soon with the hype only growing stronger as the game nears its launch day.
While GTA VI doesn’t launch until November 19, it will be available to pre-load from November 12 for those who have pre-ordered the game.
