GTA 6 launch countdown threatened as Cyberleek teases sudden return

Grand Theft Auto VI leaker CYBERLEEK may be back to wreak havoc on Rockstar Games’ next release ahead of its November 19 launch.

It was in August that CYBERLEEK first appeared, taking payment from avid gamers as the individual ran polls on what fans wanted to see leaked next.

The leaked clips came thick and fast, covering everything from GTA VI’s nudist beach to a look at lead character Lucia in the game’s prologue.

The leaks died out around the time that Rockstar and Netflix debuted GTA VI: An Extended Look, although no word was offered on whether the leaker was ever caught.

It appears that they might not have been, as CYBERLEEK looks set to make a comeback.

As highlighted by Reddit user throwaway12314444, CYBERLEEK is once again running a paid poll, trying to fleece gamers out of even more money.

The only catch this time is that neither of the poll options advertise what they represent, with both labelled as “???”.

There’s no lead in question either. The entire poll is a great big mystery, albeit one that’s due to expire on October 8, so perhaps we’ll get answers then.

It’s surprising that people have actually paid to vote.

At this stage, all we know is that option one is leading the way with almost 75 percent of the votes, but that will continue to change and shift.

This certainly all needs to be taken with a pinch of salt because there’s no guarantee that CYBERLEEK is back in the way the individual was before.

Certainly, new leaks may be on the way, but this could just be the individual having one last ditch attempt to raise funds from gamers.

It could also be a copycat who’s taken control of the website. Either way, it’s not recommended that you pay to vote.

Most gamers don’t want to see CYBERLEEK make a return

The consensus online is mixed.

“My theory is that they possibly found him and were testing out to see if they made a post to see if it would actually be under his account,” said Twitter/X user JayMK22.

“Doesn’t really matter,” added JamesDude100. “The gameplay footage we’ve got from him was pretty trash compared to the glimpse we had officially. We still have no clue how the phone/tablet will work.”

“Just one month left. I’m staying away from all the leaks,” said Vicecity_wire, echoing how many of us feel.

We truly are on the final countdown to GTA VI after years and years of waiting. It’s finally set to be ours on November 19, well, if you own a PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X/S.

As a reminder, Rockstar Games is yet to confirm a PC version although has teased that it recognises the growing importance of PC as a platform.
