Nintendo has released two rather unusual free apps for Nintendo Switch consoles, as well as iOS and Android, that let players poke, prod, stretch, and spin the lovely faces of Princess Peach and Super Marioâs brother Luigi.
The two free apps are called Hello, Peach! and Hello, Luigi!, and theyâre the latest additions to a series that began in Japan in August 2025 before rolling out to the West in February 2026. That first app was Hello, Mario!, which was then followed by Hello, Yoshi! in April.
Just like the two apps that came before, Hello, Peach! and Hello, Luigi! are free for both smartphones and tablets, and theyâre also playable on the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2. The apps are inspired by the famous Super Mario 64 title screen on the N64, where it lets you mess about with poor Marioâs face.
What can you do in Hello, Peach! and Hello, Luigi!?
As stated above, you can poke, prod, stretch, and spin the faces of Princess Peach and Luigi. Each characterâs face will react according to what you do to them. You can also customise the screen with Super Mushrooms, Super Stars, enemies, add backgrounds, and more.
The app is, admittedly, aimed at children but weâre all big kids at heart. You can play games such as peekaboo, which triggers an appearance from the infamous ghost of the Super Mario series, Boo. Whether itâs Super Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach or Yoshi, all characters can eventually fall asleep to encourage children to take a break from the screen.

Furthermore, once the app is downloaded to your smartphone device or Nintendo Switch, it won't need an online connection to play. If youâre a parent with a hyper child that might struggle to switch off, the âHelloâ series of free apps are fun games for adults and children to play together, and perhaps a wholesome way to introduce your youngsters to the Super Mario series on consoles.

Will there be more Hello, Mario! apps?
While Nintendo hasn't announced that more free apps are on the way, it would be surprising if they ended it with Princess Peach and Luigi. So, hopefully, weâll get the likes of Hello, Bowser!, Hello, Toad!, Hello, Daisy!, Hello, Donkey Kong! and many more. After all, the Super Mario franchise has such a deep roster of lovable characters.
Should Nintendo announce those free apps on smart devices and Nintendo Switch consoles, as well as any others not mentioned, weâll be sure to let you know right away.
What about new mainline Super Mario games on Nintendo Switch 2?
At the moment, no new Super Mario games have been announced for the Nintendo Switch 2. However, we all know that weâll be treated to multiple releases in the series at some point in the future. Again, weâll let you know as soon as an announcement is made.
