Extinction-level landmass shift expected in 260 million years, will probably arrive before GTA 6

Extinction-level landmass shift expected in 260 million years, will probably arrive before GTA 6

We'll all get to play GTA 6 one day, right?

Grand Theft Auto VI, is arguably the most highly anticipated game in recent years that we know next to nothing about. Well, at least officially.

Seemingly in an attempt to damage control the infamous GTA VI gameplay leaks that appeared to be taken from an early build of the game, Rockstar Games announced that it was working on the next entry in the ever-popular series. However, that announcement was made in February 2022 and since that time, Rockstar Games has given us no new details.

Check out our GTA VI news round-up video below!

Fans have become increasingly concerned about the development of Grand Theft Auto VI, so much so, that they fear they may die before it is ever released. Hopefully, it won’t actually come to that, right? Sure, we never know what’s around the corner, but hopefully, we’ll all remain safe and sound, and we’ll all get to play GTA VI one day.

Granted, the above scenario does seem a bit extreme and if suggestions from Rockstar Games’ parent company Take-Two Interactive are to be believed, the GTA VI release date could land anywhere between 2024 to 2025.

Yet, in another extreme scenario, experts have predicted that mammalian life as we know it on Earth could come to an end in 260 million years. Surely, GTA VI will be released by then, it has to be! Just to be safe, we wouldn't recommend holding your breath. That being said, if you manage to stay alive and hold your breath for 260 million years, then colour us impressed.

As reported by IGN, experts from the University of Bristol believe that the arrival of Earth’s next supercontinent dubbed ‘Pangea Ultima’, which sounds like a new Pokémon, will render our planet uninhabitable when the continents of Africa, the Americas and Europe collide in a collaboration that spells doom for us all. Oh, and we’ll also likely be toasted by the sun, that’s if we’re not already melted by worldwide Volcanism and drowned by mass flooding which not even Noah and his penguins could save us from.

In related news, GTA VI hype intensifies following suspicious Rockstar Games social media activity, and an insider claims that the new version of GTA Online will closely resemble Fortnite.

Grand Theft Auto VI is expected to be released on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S (probably).
