As Xbox ramps up the pressure on Bethesda to get the next instalment of The Elder Scrolls out the door, attention has turned towards its post-launch support too, as a famed DLC studio joins the efforts.
With Grand Theft Auto rolling back around with its massive entrance this year, The Witcher pulling the trigger on new DLCs and a trilogy of titles coming, the third name on the Mount Rushmore of RPGs has been extremely quiet.
The Elder Scrolls' next game was announced eight years ago, but we've yet to see a single second of footage from the game - in fact, other than a very plain, grassy field, we've seen nothing.
Xbox joins Elder Scrolls fans in wanting more, though. After CEO Asha Sharma took control, Microsoft has come down on Bethesda to demand progress on its Skyrim successor, alongside new Fallout games.

Xbox's 'bloodbath' layoffs have impacted Bethesda, with a total of 213 employees losing their roles as the studio is under pressure to show results, sparking discussions around strikes over the new conditions.
Xbox has reshuffled the pack at Bethesda, though, and The Elder Scrolls VI is reportedly getting more support to get the elusive game over the line in the next few years.
That includes the addition of a famed DLC studio joining the development of the Skyrim successor, which only adds confidence that there is a game to support in its post-launch service.
Known for Thieves Guild, Dark Brotherhood, and Greymoor DLCs for The Elder Scrolls Online, ZeniMax has now joined the development of the Skyrim successor.
According to IGN, ZeniMax will continue to work on the new season model for The Elder Scrolls Online while also collaborating with Bethesda on the wider franchise.
"I took that to mean helping get The Elder Scrolls 6 out the door," the report says.
While the studio was also impacted by the layoffs, losing 166 members of the team, ZeniMax will now be much closer to the action when it comes to The Elder Scrolls 6.
The combination of forces suggests that ZeniMax will help the main TES studio with the core game, but also put its popular post-launch storytelling skills to the test.

It's not been a fun few weeks for The Elder Scrolls community, especially with the end-of-life notice being placed on one long-standing game.
But if there is any light in a dark place, it would be through The Elder Scrolls Online's latest DLC featuring the iconic Thieves Guild.
Considering that Skyrim had three DLCs and the biggest catalogue of community-made mods, The Elder Scrolls 6 will open doors to more storytelling than ever before, and it promises to be a stellar instalment in the series... when it arrives.
