Red Dead Redemption 2 mod lets you build an island home on Guarma

This is my island in the sun

Red Dead Redemption 2 offers players so much, with lots to do across a huge map. Of course, there could always be more, but Rockstar have halted production support on the game. Thankfully, modders are keeping the game updated with lots of great content.

With this mod players are given an opportunity to build a house on Guarma, which is a cute little island just off shore.

Red Dead Redemption 2 still pulls in thousands of players

Once built, the house is a three room cabin featuring a kitchen and corridor. It's a humble home, but the build also has a marina and stairs leading to it from the house. It's a quaint little property with minimal furniture including a sofa, armchair and cabinet. It makes for a lovely getaway, surrounded by sea.

The mod has a lot of support from the community, with many people installing it and spending their days on the coast. This is the third home you can own in the game where you don't have to kill an NPC, so that's nice. It was created using map editor by a one-person team. Having an extra safehouse is a nice addition to have, we all need a break from being cowboys.

Red Dead Redemption 2 came out in 2018 and players still can't get enough, with many saying it's an "untouchable masterpiece". When they aren't discovering secrets they're installing cool mods that extend the game further than anyone could imagine. Some mods are adding lots of extra missions, while others are bringing Halloween to the Wild West with a bunch of undead cowboys.

If you're looking to add more content to Red Dead Redemption 2, there's a plethora of different ways to adapt the game. Or, you could just play it all over again from a fresh save.
