Red Dead Redemption 2’s map completely transformed in this imaginative update

Red Dead Redemption 2 fans can download this free expansion that completely transforms its wild west world.

Finally, Red Dead Redemption 2 fans have had it good this week, thanks to a free new update inspired by the critically acclaimed expansion, Undead Nightmare.

Despite offering an incredible single-player campaign starring Arthur Morgan, Rockstar Games has somewhat neglected Red Dead Redemption 2 in recent years.

Its multiplayer mode, Red Dead Online, had so much promise and understandably, fans hoped that it would get a similar amount of love seen with GTA Online.

Sadly, Rockstar Games announced it was pretty much done with Red Dead Online, deciding not to give it meaningful expansion-sized content updates. Instead, fans had to make do with copy-and-paste monthly events.

However, that has all changed, at least this month, thanks to ‘Strange Tales of the West’ bringing new supernatural missions to Red Dead Online, and that’s just with Vol. 1.

So, it’s fair to say that Red Dead Redemption 2 fans have a reason to be happy nowadays, not only with the official support from Rockstar Games but also with its ever-vibrant modding community.

One mod in particular that may be worth your time is ‘Dense Forests of The Grizzlies West’, created by BigiApra and is free to download now via Nexusmods.

This mod takes the barren, sometimes empty countryside and fills it with lush trees. What’s more, not only does it make Red Dead Redemption 2’s world look extra gorgeous, but it improves its draw distance and reduces texture pop-ups.

In my opinion, Red Dead Redemption 2 is just about as close to a perfect game as we can get and if there was a way to improve on near perfection, it would be to make its already gorgeous world look even more gorgeous.

It’s worth noting that, like every other Red Dead Redemption 2 mod, this is a PC exclusive. Red Dead Redemption 2 is also out on modern PlayStation and Xbox consoles.
