“How would you feel is GTA VI got delayed AGAIN?” Asks a Redditor - a hypothetical question, for sure, but one that does scare many gamers.
The question was asked on the GTA subreddit, so of course, the reaction was going to be one of frantic and tangible fear, but if I were to answer, as someone who doesn’t consider himself a fanboy, I’d be a bit gutted.
We’ve all eagerly awaited every little detail about GTA VI for so long, that even though the fifth game wasn’t for me, I’ve become quite excited by the sixth. So, for hardcore fans, the prospect fills them with dread.

“[I’d feel] Pain, terrible pain,” says one of the top replies to the question.
“Well, love IS a long road,” comments FlemPlays.
You’d hope that another delay isn’t likely, seeing as how Rockstar Games has now confirmed the actual launch date.
Before that, the release was so loose, a delay was pretty much inevitable, though some gamers think another delay could happen.

“I'm expecting a second delay, TBH,” said HizzOVizza.
This was followed up by Silver_Response4707 who comments, “May is an odd release date for something this big. It’ll be tempting for them to postpone 4 months to line it up with holiday season release.”
I think I speak for many when I say that nobody wants another delay, however, if it needs to happen, it will, and there’s nothing we can do about it.
As Rockstar Games has delayed games multiple times in the past, the fear is there.

One reasonable reply reads, “Usually, once they give an exact release date, they don’t delay it any further. Like with GTA 5: they initially said Spring 2013, then September 17th 2013 which is when it came out.”
Let’s all have this confidence and trust in the process and John Rockstar.
