For years now, Grand Theft Auto has held firm on one thing and that’s the Wanted system, where players receive stars based on the levels of crime committed.

It’s rarely changed and only ever tweaked, by bringing out new levels of law enforcement, however, GTA VI seems to be making some major changes to how the law will react to Jason and Lucia.

This is based on what we’ve seen from both trailers for the highly anticipated game, and the information gained by eagle-eyed fans.

According to details spotted by Oblivious Malcom, over on YouTube, they discuss that while we see regular police units arresting NPCs, there’s also a ‘ghost unit’ on the scene.

Essentially, this means that the car is a regular car until either light is shined on it, or its emergency lights are activated.

It’s kind of an unmarked car, or an undercover unit, which would mean that it’ll be easier than ever to end up chased by the cops for infractions while out driving.

This isn’t confirmed by Rockstar Games, and is pure speculation based on the footage, but it will have massive implications on your wanted level.

Picture this - you’re pulling off a low-level heist, maybe robbing a gas station or convenience store, and everything is going smoothly.

However, you exit the store, perhaps still holding your weapon, and an unmarked car swerves out of nowhere to try and apprehend you.

When discussed on Reddit, fans seem sceptical, but also intrigued on how this will work.

“If police actually patrol the streets like in GTA games before V then it'll be interesting to see how crime will work with these guys around,” said MeepersOfficial.

This could make certain crimes tougher to pull off, adding a new level of difficulty, and perhaps stopping those crime sprees we’re used to.
