GTA 6 console bundle leaks, you might want to start saving

My wallet is already crying

Rumours are flying that GTA VI will be able to run at a steady and smooth 60fps on PlayStation 5 Pro, and all signs point to console bundles coming down the pipe.

Feel free to take this with a pinch of salt, but recent leaks are hinting that we could see a partnership between Rockstar Games and PlayStation for console bundles next year.

The two companies have always had a close relationship, but leaker Detective Seeds, over on Twitter, has noted this bond could become tighter.

In their tweet, they said, “GTA6 continues to hit 60fps while being optimized for the PS5 Pro on multiple graphical settings. PlayStation engineers are assisting with the optimisation due to the new tech being implemented and rolled out with a current target date of May 2026.”

Further on, it’s noted, “Also, the Rockstar/PlayStation marketing deal is what’s allowing, and encouraging, this collaboration on optimisation.”

This could mean that Sony will announce specific bundles with the PS5 Pro, in order to showcase the hardware and capitalise on players buying new hardware, who want the best experience.

Having the biggest game of all-time running at its very best on your console is a sure-fire way to shift hardware.

Detective Seeds’ tweet goes on to say, “Should see several GTA6/PS bundles in the next marketing push. This info is from a PlayStation engineer.”

This benefits Rockstar Games, giving them the edge when it comes to harnessing newer console technology, and should ensure that GTA VI looks and feels superb.

While we advise that pinch of salt, it’s also worth remembering that since Grand Theft Auto’s inception, PlayStation has been its biggest supporter and platform.

Rockstar Games hasn’t been shy in the past when talking about the close pairing, so start saving your cash now if you want to take advantage of any bundles next year, as the PS5 Pro is an expensive bit of tech.
