With all the hype for The Last of Us TV show, it’s easy to forget that there are loads of other video games getting their own movie and TV adaptations soon.
For a start, there’s Prime Video’s God of War show on the horizon. We still don’t know who the cast will be for that, but Christopher Judge is adamant that he should reprise his role as Kratos, and who would we be to stop him? Similarly, Atreus’ voice and motion capture actor, Sunny Suljic, has also expressed that he wants to be part of the show.
Maybe they’ll end up passing the Leviathan Axe to Ben Stiller instead, who already starred as Kratos in this weird God of War Ragnarök ad.
Also coming soon is the Gran Turismo movie (which stars David Harbour and Orlando Bloom) and the Twisted Metal TV series, and the head of PlayStation Productions, Asad Qizilbash, has seemingly teased that we could be seeing them on our screens sometime soon. As VGC reports, Qizilbash tweeted a short video of a Gran Turismo-branded elevator opening its doors to a huge mural of The Last of Us, and wrote: “PlayStation Productions this year in one elevator ride. You can’t see me, but my head is on fire too.”
Fans of Twisted Metal will know that he’s referring to the iconic character Sweet Tooth - the clown with a burning head who’s seen on the series' various game covers. The show finished filming last August, so hopefully the production team is gearing up for its release. However, replying to one hyped fan who asked if it's releasing this year, Qizilbash said: “Glad you’re excited. No release time has been locked yet but the team will be hard at work on it this year, that I can promise you.”

We’ll just have to stay patient and wait for the release date to be announced. Hopefully, we’ll at least get a trailer sometime soon.
