Christopher Judge will never stop campaigning to play Kratos in the God Of War series

Christopher Judge will never stop campaigning to play Kratos in the God Of War series

Christopher Judge really wants to reprise the role of Kratos in Amazon's upcoming live-action God of War TV series.

The Last of Us might be the TV talk of the town for now, but there are plenty more video game adaptations on the way. Amazon is currently in the process of developing a God of War TV series based on Santa Monica Studios’ norse saga which includes both God of War and God of War Ragnarök.

It’s too early for casting news and yet, there is a major casting ruckus happening online. Dave Bautista’s name has been thrown around as a potential Kratos contender. Bautista certainly shares Kratos’ god-like build, but there’s one person who’s very against the idea: Kratos himself, Christopher Judge.

Judge took home the award for Best Performance at last year’s Game Awards for portraying the titular God of War and is very confident that the only person who should play Kratos is, well, him.

Kratos is a powerful guy. Take a look at God of War Ragnarök’s opening boss fight below.

Judge has taken to Twitter to really campaign for the role. You know what, you cannot blame him. We know he’s capable. Shoot your shot and all that. Judge retweeted an article suggesting that Bautista should be cast, adding, “And it’s been said that I can’t read a room.” The guy isn’t holding back.

It doesn’t end there. Judge later added, “Don’t get me wrong, I think Bautista is great, but …” You think you should play the role, my man? I agree. Judge is Kratos. Let him shine in a live-action environment. He’s not the only member of the game’s cast to put their name forward. Atreus actor Sunny Suljic wants to reprise his role too. He wrote, “I swear to god, If I don’t get booked for this.”

Freya actress Danielle Bisutti replied to Suljic with, “I feel that Sunny.” It’s a possibility. Merle Dandridge is currently reprising her role as Marlene in HBO’s The Last of Us after first portraying the character in the game. We’ll have to wait and see if the God of War TV series will follow in TLOU’s footsteps.
