Pokémon just got its own dedicated streaming channel with 600 episodes

Huge day for Pokémon fans

Pokémon fans in the UK just got access to over 600 episodes of the TV show, letting you relive the adventures of Ash and Pikachu all over again.

The Pokémon franchise is huge, and while the games have heavily contributed to that popularity, there’s no denying it didn’t get some help from the TV show along the way.

Check out the trailer for the next Pokémon game on the horizon, Pokémon Legends: Z-A below.

Unfortunately, the adventures of Ash and Pikachu concluded some time ago, with an emotional final episode that saw the duo return to the Kanto region to say their goodbyes. That being said, they've already been teased to return at some point.

It also paved the way for the new show, Pokémon: Horizons, which follows a brand-new cast, spans multiple regions and is actually quite good when all is considered.

Though if you’re in the mood for a slice of nostalgia, or if you’ve never watched the OG Pokémon series before, I have great news for you, as the BBC has launched a dedicated Pokémon streaming channel, with over 600 episodes available.

It’s part of BBC iPlayer, so if you’re outside the UK you might struggle to get access without VPNs, but for UK residents you can check it out right now.

The catalogue ranges from the earliest episodes to the latest Pokémon Horizons episodes, so there’s a good mix of seasons for almost every fan.

I’d highly recommend cracking out a copy of Pokémon Fire Red and a Game Boy Advance before you stick the episodes on for maximum nostalgic potential.

Again, BBC iPlayer is a region-locked service, so if you’re outside of the UK, I’m afraid you’ll struggle to take advantage of this new channel, though fear not as you can find full episodes of the Pokémon TV series elsewhere.

So on this lovely sunny day in the UK, check out the new Pokémon Channel and relive some fond memories, or make new ones if you haven’t seen it before.
