Starfield meets Valheim in this free Steam download

If you’ve been wanting to play a game that is Starfield meets Valheim, then this free Steam download might be your cup of tea.

Perhaps to the surprise of some, there is a lot of crafting in Starfield, more so than previous RPGs from Bethesda, including The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and perhaps even Fallout 4.

In Starfield, you can not only craft weapons and armour, but even space ships and bases, but it maybe does not have the crafting depth of the survival RPGs that specialise in its genre, such as Valheim, the co-topic of this article.

That being said, if you would like to play a new game that blends the best of Starfield and Valheim, then this upcoming indie RPG from ReDivided Studios might pique your interest.

“Embark on an epic adventure to Mars in Horizon Journey, an open-world survival game that blends colonisation, terraforming, and exploration in both single-player and multiplayer co-op modes,” reads the synopsis of the game on Steam. “You're tasked with the monumental challenge of making Mars a new home for humanity.”

Horizon Journey is an action sci-RPG that looks to offer just enough strategy and crafting goodness to keep your heart content. It can be played on your lonesome or with friends.

Judging by the Horizon Journey gameplay trailer on Steam, it looks like it could be a lot of fun. However, you don’t have to rely on words to decide whether this game is for you, because it has a free playable demo available now.

Horizon Journey does not have a full release date at the time of writing, but it is expected to enter early access soon. So, in the meantime, download its demo and add the game to our Steam wishlist to be notified when it's ready to launch.

At this moment, there is no word as to whether Horizon Journey will get a console release, but you never know, if the game proves to be enough of a success.
