Get your diggers at the ready, it’s time to, uh, construct.
In case you missed it, Construction Simulator is currently running a free weekend on Steam.
It’s a game that does exactly what it says on the tin.

You’ll establish your own construction company, working on various builds and campaigns as you manage both your clients and your fleet of machinery.
I’ll admit, it’s the type of game I wouldn’t usually flock to but hey, maybe it could be fun to while away a couple of hours shifting earth and laying foundations.
“Tackle intriguing projects of different sizes and requirements that help you increase your income, so that you're able to add even more powerful machinery to your vehicle fleet,” the synopsis teases.
“Along the way, diverse clients will test your abilities as you navigate challenges, making every task a test of your skill set. Get ready to showcase your process as you tackle a variety of construction challenges in this dynamic and engaging adventure!”

There are two campaigns in the game, one inspired by the USA and one inspired by Germany, and you can make use of over 90 licensed machines from 24 brands.
Oh and I should add that there’s a multiplayer mode, so you can get your friends online to construct together.
Construction Simulator’s free weekend runs until tomorrow, 16 June, so you’ve only got one day left to sample this one at no additional cost.
That should be more than enough time though to see if the game is for you.

If you do enjoy the free weekend, an offer on the full release is running concurrently.
You can currently bag Construction Simulator for £14.99 which is 50% off the usual price of £29.99.
That offer will also end on 16 June.

The game boasts a ‘Very Positive’ review score on Steam from its players.
“Best construction game I have ever played. The only downside is that it can be repetitive at times. 9/10,” read one review, while another added, “Awesome game can't stop playing really cool!!”
Enjoy it for free while you can.
